Well, I'm not sure about your reading level, so I will mention a few of my very favorite books which were not only relatively easy reads, but really cool to read:
Cell - Stephen King (It's about a "Pulse" that comes through cell phones that causes everyone on their cell to turn into flesh-eating zombies)
The Other Boelyn Girl - Phillipa Gregory (About Anne Boelyn's sister who had a brief affair with Henry VIII before Anne's beheading, very erotic and historically accurate!)
Skinny Dip - Carl Hiassan (A woman who's husband throws her off a cruiseship because he thinks she knows too much about him. It's HYSTERICAL)
Any book by Jenifer Weinner (she writes about normal plump chicks and their lives) and Jodi Piccoult

Anything by Karen Kingsbury you will LOVE. Another great author is Francine Rivers. Her book, Redeeming Love, will actually "call you out of your sleep" at night, so if you read this one, make sure it's over a long weekend. (It's the best book I've ever read.) Happy Reading!

Fantasy, horror, and suspense all weave into one awesome tale in DeLint's "Mulengro" Someone or something is hunting down members of Romany communities (gypsy).
Fantastic characters including a violinist whose home is burned down and marked with a Rom symbol of ostracization from his community, to an isolated Rom woman named Ola who has otherworldly powers.
