Alright, the median is when you find the number in the middle of the collection of numbers. Example: 1,3,5,7,9,11,11 -- The median would be 7 because it is in the middle. Meadian -> middle. If you have an even amount, like 2,5,7,9 --- then you take the two middle numbers, add them, and divide them by two. Then that's the median. If the number appears more than once, you still count it as two seperate selections.

Mode = This is the number that's repeated the most. If there's no numbers repeated, then I believe that all of the numbers are the mode. Same thing if there's more than one with the highest amount, both are the mode.

Range = Yes, you subtract the highest from the lowest.

ok:

when u r looking for the median you count the numbers as many times as it is there. u have to make sure to put all the numbers in order from least to greatest. (example::8,6,4,6,3,6,2,9,7,5 ////// it would be this 2,3,4,5,6,6,6,7,8,9 and then the median would be 6 & 6..... the mode ( the number that occurs the most would be 6) and the mean ( the average ( add all the numbers and then divide the sum by the amount of numbers) would be 5.6........the range ( the lowest number subtracted by the highest number ) would be 7. if no numbers for the mode are repeated you say not possible or there is no mode. if there are 2 numbers that are repeated the same number of times then u name both of them. hope to help. byeaa

For the median, sort the numbers in order then find the number in the middle. If there are two medians, then take the average of the two.

If no numbers are repeated then there are many modes.

Range - take the highest number and subtract the lowest number

median: yes, even if there are ten 5's, you count all ten of them! There can only be one median. If the middle number comes down to 2, then average them together (add and then divide by 2)

Mode: there can be no mode if no numbers repeat, or there can be more than one mode if there are more than one that repeat the same number of times.

Range: The difference (subtract) between the largest number and the smallest number (you are right on that! good job!)

Median: count all entries, even if they appear more than once. If there are two medians, then go with the average of the two.

Range is the highest observation minus the lowest (not the other way around, like you said).

Mode: huh, I cannot remember.... sorry.

I will answer your questions about medians.
Median:

If you have a number that appears more than once, you count every one of the number.

If there are two medians, find the equal number that is in between them.
example: The medians are 8 and 9. So, your median would be 8.5 ,rounded to 9.

if there are 5 numbers count 5 numbers total even if theres more than one of same number.

2. if two medians - add the two and divide it by two and youll get the answer.

3. range: Put in order from least to greatest then.
subtract the highest and lowest values in the set and you get your answer.

Hope I helped.

On median, you have to use all the numbers that you are given and find the number in the middle. There is no such thing as having two medians.

If no numbers are repeated, then there is no mode.

There are two kinds of ranges. There is the highest number minus the lowest number, and there is also the range of numbers going from lowest to highest.

And you're welcome! ^_^

Median is the middle number when all of them are in numerical order.

I have heard arguments both ways on having more than one mode. I tell my students One mode or no modes.

Range is the difference (non inclusive) between the highest and lowest values.

when yu find the median, yu put the numbers from the least to the greatest and find the middle. if there is two medians, yu find the average of tht. if there is no repeated numbers, there is no mode. yu are right wit the range.
