I guess I would. I would do it for our founding fathers. I would do it because this was a great idea on how to build a fair and balanced system of government of the people and by the people and I do believe we can bring it back to that. We need to stop voting against our own intrests and take this country from the corporations.

Since the military is stretched so thin I would only go if there would be a concrete threat to the safety here in the US. Now to qualify my answer, since the data provided to invade Iraq was never substantiated. I would have a hard time participating in any invasion of Iran or anywhere else in the Middle East. I think that President Bush has caused a problem with the military by falsifying the intelligence that lead to the Iraq invasion. A problem that will cause the current volunteer army to have trouble with recruitment efforts. Which will have an adverse effect for many years to come.

Your question is not true. How is invading Iran protecting the constitution? And how is your duty into a citizen somehow related to stealing oil for Bush. And why should US citizens risk their lives while Bush sits on his ranch raking in most of the profits?

And anyway, does the US need to be the World super power? How about being a fairly powerful prosperous nation? Wouldn't that be easier?

I'm too old to be drafted now, but even if I weren't I wouldn't fight in Iran, or anywhere else for that matter, without them attacking us first.

I don't subscribe to the Bush "doctrine" of preemptive war.

I'm proud to say I opposed the Iraq invasion, so yes, I have the right to tell Bush supporters "I TOLD YOU SO" about Iraq.

If/when Bush starts a war with Iran there won't be enough time to start a draft to raise troops to fight in Iran because the war in Iran will be over in a month or two.

I would, just as I did during the Vietnam war, but since I have a heart condition, emphesema, and diabetes, I doubt they would take me.

For the last time people. THERE WILL NOT BE A DRAFT! It's illegal and congress would never vote on legalizing it for a middle east conflict. Use your heads folks.

I certainly would. I'd be safer in a war than driving my car down the freeway anyway. Besides, this country has given me and my family an awful lot, I'd do everything I could to make sure it continued giving.

You sound as if you already know that there will be a war in Iran.
