find some people with year books from the 1980's era....you will see that there were bangs....teasing bangs....layers.....hair to the side.....etc....
I think that would help you the most!

The permed high hair look was big big big (pun intended), with the crown poofed up high like the statue of liberty, but bangs combed straight down across. Big spiral permed hair....sometimes worn in a side-ponytail....or with big combs holding it back on one side...
and LOTS AND LOTS of hairspray.
True 80's hair should be crunchy, never move and take 3 shampoos to wash all the mousse, gel and spray out of!!

Curling Iron and lots of hair spray.
Why would you want to do that? I laugh at some of my pitchers from the 80s we looked ridiculous

AQUA NET!!! Just in case you don't know what that is, cheap hairspray that is essential to get your hair teased to perfection. You will need a comb to tease, blow dryer to make "wings" by blowing the air on the sides by your ears and hairspraying at the same time, NICE AND STIFF....Curl your bangs both under and then some back and tease in the opposite direction and hairspray....check out def lepard, motley crue etc websites old album covers for ideas, just remember hairspray is your friend.

Hair that somewhat long, shoulder length in layers in the front, curled or blown to flip backwards = Farrah style. Also lots of curls in sort of a "fro".

Get the curling iron out! Curling iron your hair, all over. Get a hair pick and pick it out till it's poofy and SPRAY! Use ALOT of hairspray! Use the pick to tease the bang and again spray with hairspray like crazy!! Good Luck!
To toss things up, you can throw your poofy hair up in a scrunchie! Totally eighties!

Braids Staight Mohawk or just just go to goggle and type in 80's hair styles

Tease your hair up alot and use TONS of Aqua-Net Hairspray!
Ahh the good ol days of big hair... I can't say I miss them because my big hair never left!( not that I style it that way now i just have hair that resembles the heavy metal bands!)

Part it down the middle and use a curling iron to feather it on both sides. Then spray it really well with hairspray. It should look like you have "wings."

Take A bottle of hair spray, tip you're head over and
spray half the can on it, let dry then tip head up again,
there ya go !!
