This is not a personal problem. Just a curiosity because of the vast number of men that complain about this. Why? Does it boil down to mating? Is it an animalistic trait?

I think maybe you are exposed to a limited circle of men... I know many men that don't complain about being married... they honor and respect their wives and their marriage.

I don't think it has anything to do with mating...since men also say that after marriage their sex life seems to be over...I think it is just that men follow men...if a guys friends start to marry off...then the other men tend to follow....I think it has more to do with not wanting to be left alone...or simply....following the crowd. You don't wanna be the only single guy hanging out with a bunch of married friends....you get married too...that way...you can still relate and complain about the same things your friends do!

Like the song Love by the Sundays says. - Distance myself from the things I'd like but. Everyone has something I need. Don't let me wake up and find. All those others leaving me behind. - Its one of those good/bad things that men women and children complain about and always will.

I don't know...I hear a lot of it, too. Sometimes I think maybe it's just the macho way they want to portray themselves, to pretend they don't need a woman or have to count on them, when actually they'd be lost without them!

Or it just could be that they're blowing off steam about things that bug them, even though they're really too small to start a real fight about.

not true. men AND women complain - maybe the women complain much more, especially later on in the marriage. conflicts tend to build up over time, men are "not listening" women get more frustrated and grumpy, etc. etc.

they know they need to be taken care of so they cave in and get married for the conviences.. They can't live with mommy forever.....the next best thing is a wife.. and she supplies the extra benifits

i think a lot of men, speaking about jerks here.. like regular sex. or maybe they don't want to be all alone.

i say don't have sex with your husband for a while and see how much he complains or if he cheats or really loves you

women nag and emotionally blackmail men into marriage. of course, it only gets worse after that. fewer and fewer people are getting married, it will soon be a thing of the past. have you noticed that the only men who seem to want to get married these days are gay?
