A Monarchy type of government is like that exists in England. And yes, of course, they do protect individual rights.

The word democracy doesn't have to appear. The US constitution is very specific about the government. Even though it doesn't specifically say democracy, what it calls for is a democracy (elected representatives, 3 branches, etc.) Also, the US is the modern model of democracy. Countries with democratic governments typically based theirs on the US's. read about the French Revolution. It was inspired by the US revolution as were many others
