I kicked a hole in the wall (drywall, not near foundation) of my house and I was wondering how much this would cost to be repaired. I would not like to do this job by myself so I would rather not have help on "do-it-yourself" jobs. Thanks!

about $75.00. check around your block and see if there are any houses being built or repared. might get a drywall guy to come over and do the job in his spare time.

You first cut out the damaged area as close to a square or rectangle. Use some 1X3 or whatever you have as a backer for the edges.Screw in on the good side so you have something to screw the new piece into. (you can also trace around your estimated replacement piece for your repair FIRST for an accurate replacement fit before you cut your new repair opening)You can use a sharp utility knife, or a keyhole saw for this. Screw in replacement piece with 1 1/2 drywall screws, pre-fill any cracks between new and old, and let dry.Sand lightly. Pre-cut fiba-tape or paper tape and use as little mud as possible for first coat. Do many small layers, rather that one BIG one. A small box of 20 min quick set, mixed in a few small batches is best. THE LESS SANDING IS BETTER! Primer-sealer paint is next, then finish coat (2). A repair is worth about $100.00 per hole, and you can usually get a damaged sheet for less, or drop by the nearest construction site for a scrap. A new piece of 4X8 is only 12 bucks.

A local handyman can probably fix it $75 or so, not including paint.

Anger management classes are cheaper than drywall repairs.
