Do most doctors do another actual exam or is it just like the ones I have been having where i go in sit down he listens to the heart beat then measures my belly and tells me I can go?? I know I get to have an ultrasound but Im wondering if there will be anything else? Please help.

Here's a great link for you! Just select the week (or set of weeks) that you will see the doctor, and it will tell you what medical care you should be expecting! This is the site that I get my weekly pregnancy e-newsletter from, and I am always giving people this link! Hope it helps.
I do know that if you are Rh negative blood type you will need to get your Rhogam shot around now, and that you should expect to be tested for gestational diabetes soon if you haven't already been.

Is this just a office visit? If so then it will just be a quick listen to the baby's heartbeat and a measure of where the uterus is. They will just make sure you are noot having any problems since you last visit as well. If you already haven't had a ultrasound(unlikely) they will probably schedule you one. You should have had your glucose test taken and some blood work done by this time already.

You really need to be seen before then! You need to make sure everything is OK with you and your baby. There are tests that should be done well before 28 weeks. If you absolutely must wait...you should expect a TON of questions and expect to give TON of information related to your health history, the fathers health history and the same info for both your families. You will most likely be scheduled for an ultra sound very shortly after that also. Usually you get an ultrasound around 11 weeks for testing and then again between 18-22 weeks to make sure baby is growing properly.

You should be getting ready to do a glucose sugar test now. It's where you drink a really sweet drink ( tastes like pop to me), and they draw blood. You'll have to sit for about an hour at the lab, so take something to read or have something to do to kill time. The rest of the visit is pretty much normal, hearing the heartbeat and getting measured.

It's just like a regular visit...but then they put the jelly on your belly and move the wand around and let you take a peek at your little darling.

Really all the office visits are a breeze until 38 weeks or so when the doctor starts doing the pelvics to see if you are dilating.

At my visit they did the normal stuff (heartbeat, measurement, vital signs). They also sent me down to the lab to do the glucose test. You drink a really sweet drink and wait an hour to let them draw blood. The doctor also talked to me about starting to do fetal kick counts. Other than that it was business as usual!

You should only get the usual visits you have been getting...

Normally they don't start to check you for dilation until about 32 weeks or so....

You should be scheduled for an ultrasound separately unless you doctor has an in-house ultrasound tech....
