It might be very early in the pregnancy. In which case, it's better to wait a couple more days...then try testing w/ your first morning urine (that has the highest concentration of the hormone detected by pregnancy tests).

well, a few things could have happened.... BTW
Day 1 of Your cycle if 1st Day of Period

1. You could have ovulated later than you though for whatever reason so that means you could have gotten "pregnant" later in your cycle example...if you O on Day 14 normally and didn't O until day 18 you cycle could be thrown off.

2. Your body doesn't produce HCG until the fertilized egg implants...example if you ovulate and it gets fertilized on day 18 it can take 6-10days for implantation. Then you would be making HCG.... Most pregnancy tests pickup 50-100mi/u of HCG some pickup as low as 20....if you picked up one that reads a higher amt...that could be your problem.

3. So in eny even as nerve wracking it is...buy a few tests (First Response EARLY results tests I think 20-25mi/u) in a few days test again.

Keep us posted! I hope the answer is what you want....

it's too early!!! not that either test I took were accurate even though I waited until two weeks after my period was due and took another at 3 weeks late. Blood test at 3 month said yes and I'm holding my daughter to prove it ;-]

Sometimes pregnancies don't show on home tests. The only way to know for sure is a blood test with your doctor.
