You know how we need food, water, and shelter to survive. But do we need love to survive? Why or why not? Best answer gets 10 points ASAP.

Yes, we need love to survive. Some children have been given food, water and shelter, but have not been given attention (love). They are very damaged and would not be able to live without help as adults. Childhood is supposed to teach children to survive independently as adults. So I would say a childhood without love is a failure. I'm including some links so you can read about severly neglected children and the impact that neglect has on them as adults.

Yes we do. Studies have shown that animals denied the love/care of their parents (substituted by indifferent human care taking or none at all) grow less, are less peaceful/calm and sometimes die. Humans that do not have enough love often grow up detached from their fellow man/society
