Tigers are considered "aggressive" but are not predators

But if you buy SMALL barbs and introduce them to a tank full of larger platys where they have already established dominance you will probably be OK..... As the barbs grow they have "learned" to be friendly to the platys.

Worked for me, when I introduced a couple of SMALL angels and barbs to a WELL developed tank of Neon Tetras.... Tetras was getting very big (for the species) and they dominated the tank. Even as the Angels and Barbs grew They adapted very well

I am an owner of 6 barbs. Three green tigers and 3 tigers. No you shouldnt get a mickey mouse platy. These fish are peaceful and are community fish. Barbs are aggresive and will nibble the fins off the platy!! But a bala shark will go good with them.

Not usually. You can try if you put in a school of 6 or more small tiger barbs.

Yes they do but barbs tend to nip at fins so keep an eye on them.
