I would love it if everyone (even for just one day or week) gave up buying tabloid newspapers. Would they? I think a lot of people buy them out of sheer habit, most of the time disagree with what's in them but are afraid not to read them in case they miss out on something. I truly believe that most of what is wrong in people's lives today is either invented by or fuelled by the tabloids and this country would be a far better place to live without them. Anyone agree?

No, dont stop people getting tabloids. The wife would have to use my magazines to line her Guinea Pig cages.

I expect there is a lot of truth in what you say. But I won`t be much help to you in the campaign, I haven`t bought a tabloid newspaper in my life and I don`t even buy the Financial Times anymore either!

I feel, from my experience with people, that many of them are not willing to excercise critical thought, and prefer to believe the sensational. It makes them feel they are "in the know" about things, for the same reason rumours can get blown out of proportion.
Many people are not as intelligent as they would like to think they are, and actually believe much of the junk in the tabloids.

Are you a celebrity or something? If not why do you give a sh**t whether people read tabloids or not? I love seeing the almighty rich and famous getting caught up in the dramas of REAL life. I also love seeing these so-called beautiful people without their make-up on and on the beach showing all their cellulite and fat guts. It's friggin hilarious!!! Screw celebrities, they get paid too much and people actually worship these @ssholes and try to look and act like them. PATHETIC!!!!!!

That's just not true at all.

I never buy newspapers. Most of what is in them is rubbish. Who really cares what celebrities weigh, what they are wearing and who has been in bed with who?

I think it would be a good idea for people to stop buying them. Maybe we could all form our own opinions on people instead of having their opinions rammed down our throats.

:-)))
