For some reason I just CAN'T figure out what the problem is here. What I want to do, is figure out what a 1/2 page is.

Full page is 6 columns x 16” equals 96 column-inches and is built 10-1/3” x 15-5/6”.

If a full page is 6 columns 16 Inches long,

a half page would be 6 columns 8 inches long...

Give or take some for borders or white space to break off
your half page from the other type.

The measurements of that would be half of 15 - 5/6 inches
or 7 - 11/12 Inches. The other dimension, 10 - 1/3 stays the same.

half page is 6x8 or built 10 1/3 x (15 5/6)/2 or
10 1/3 x 95/12 = 10 1/3 x 7 11/12
If you half both of them, you get a quarter page
