Do you mean scientific notation?

235000 = 2.35 x 10^5
0.00456 = 4.56 x 10^-3
20000 = 2 x 10^4

(2.35 * 4.56 * 2) x (10^5 * 10^-3 * 10^4)
21.432 x 10^(5-3+4)
21.432 x 10^6
2.1432 x 10^7

(2.35 x 10^5) ( 4.56 x 10^-3) ( 2.0 x 10^4)

Now, you can group them for easy evaluation

2.35 x 4.56 x 2.0 x (10^5 x 10^-3 x 10^4) = now add all the exponents of the base 10, which gives 6.

So, 21.432 x 10^6 , then covert the first # into scientific also,

2.1432 x 10^1 x 10^6 = 2.1432 x 10^7 as your final answer.

or 2.14 x 10^7 if you are also doing sig figs.
