I was thinking about taking a road trip with my best friends, and wanted to find a place fun and somewhere we wouldn't get hassled. Also somewhere close to the beach.

Miami south to Key West. The coast highway from Los Angeles to San Fransisco. If you all are not swimmers, and just want to look, the Oregon coast is beautiful.

San Francisco is great but the water very cold. Santa Barbara, CA is great.

Well the best place to travel to is Hawai'i. Unfortunately you're not traveling in a plane so you could get a little damp.
