Hi there,

I much admire your writing a book!

Your character should stay at a hostel, which
are very common throughout Europe.

There is a London Hostels Association for working people
and students.

Backpackers like your character are typical of a hostel user.

One London hostel offers twin rooms with sinks & refrigerators. This hostel has a guest common room with digital TV, movies and board games. Each floor has a guest kitchen & several bathrooms with showers & baths. It includes free WiFi internet access & internet. They have a laundry facility, lockers & free ear plugs for light sleepers, plus a free continental breakfast!.

Below are links to help you see what a variety of hostels are out there, as well as various hostel organizations people can join.

Happy writing!

jjdubya's got the right idea for sure. My guess is that there's a hostel website that would give you some of the specifics, names, and locations. I bet you'd find one that would have some ironic qualities for the arc of your narrative.

your "character" could stay at a youth hostel.

sort of like a cheap motel for young travelers etc.
