Aaron = x
Tanya = 10 + (1/2)x = 10 + x/2

x + (10 + x/2) = 55
2x/2 + 10 + x/2 = 55
3x/2 + 10 = 55
3x/2 = 45
3x = 90
x = 30

Aaron is 60... so Tanya is
10 + 30/2 = 10 + 15 = 25

say Tanya' age = t
first you take
55 - 10 = 45
than you trying to find Aaron's age which is
45/3 = 15
remember that 15 is 1/2 of Aaron age than you take
15 + 15 = 30
30 is Aaron's age. now that you have Aaron's age you can find Tanya's age remember Tanya's age is ten years greater than 1/2 of Aaron's age and you already know that 1/2 of Aaron's age is 15 than you take that 15 and add it to the 10 years they said she had
15 + 10 = 25
so you wanna check to see if its right
30 + 25 = 55 so its correct
Aaron's age is 30 and Tanya's age is 25

Tanya is 25. Because if you - 10 from the 25, you get fifteen. This is half aarons age of 30. and 30 + 25 equals 55.

Assume Tanya's age = T; Aaron's age = A

From the text we get that T = 10 + (A / 2)

So

55 = T + A

55 = 10 + (A / 2) + A

3A = 90

A = 30

T = 10 + (30 / 2) = 25

Aaron's = 30
Tanya's = 25

x+y=55 (sum of their ages)
x+10=(1/2)y (where x is Tanya's ago and y is Aaron's)
x=(1/2)y-10

(1/2)y+10+y=55
1/2Y+Y=45
1 1/2y = 45 (multiply by 2, then divide by 3)
3y=90
y=30 (Aaron's age)
x=30/2 +10
x=25 (Tanya's Age)

THis is a logic problem

She is 10 + 1/2(aaron)

Aaron + Tanya = 55

SO

T = 10 + .5(A)
A+ T =55
A + [10 + .5A] = 55
1.5A = 45
A = 30

THEREFORE
Tanya = 15+10

SO she's 25

T = A/2 + 10
T+A=55

A/2+10 = 55-A
A+20 = 110 -2A
3A = 90
A=30
T=25
