im a junior and never took AP courses. actually it's my first year in america. im thinking about taking AP courses next year (govt/econ, calculus). i also want to take AP chem but im not sure if it will be too hard for me. im taking physics now and the only science course left is AP chem. i already took chemistry last year when i was in finland (IB), but there's no other science courses that r AP courses. or should i just pick something easy since it's my senior year and it's gonna be tough?

It is a lot of work, but if you come from a foreign country it should be easy for you, as all Americans are retarded, especially the ones in the public school system.

I am assuming your in high school. The only difference between regular courses and AP is that AP are accelerated. So if you find that you learn quickly and could use a faster pace then AP courses are for you. Another advantage of them is that you get through more material in less time so that at the end of it you have more of the information learned which helps with the rest of your education. About the AP Chemistry I wouldn't take it, because you already took the regular course. If you want to pursue Chemistry just see if you can sign up for a college level chemistry course at a local community college with the free period it would give you by not taking it at your high school.

AP courses were never extremely hard, in my experience. However, you will need to work on or get a tutor for your writing/grammar skills. There are a lot of essays you will have to write, and grammar, spelling, and vocabulary will count.
I mean that in a kind way. I want you to do well, and I'm just letting you know what will come up.
