i bought a computer in 2005 from walmart in arizona . and the monter has been messing up going all black . and i called the maker of the computer hp pavilion vx74 and they asked for sn# so i gave it to her and she said it was in this guys name tony . and i bought this computer brand new okay i have the receipt and walmart said it was my fault . what can i do to fix this problem ?

it was a closed box computer not an open box.

A couple of things you can do, write a letter to the district manager of your Wal-Mart and complain. Second, complain to the Attorney General in your state. Third, file a complaint with the local BBB. One of these WILL get you the replacement monitor that you deserve.

You cannot do anything really. You bought an open-box computer which was already registered. Either complain to walmart, or buy a new monitor. You cannot sue them- you'll lose a lot of money trying.
