Life – it has a meaning and loving purpose - you just have to find your purpose and live it.

I believe every person is here for a definite purpose. Each person is special and valuable; that refers to me, you, your family, friends, in fact everybody! There is a loving plan for each of our lives here on earth and there is no such thing as coincidence. I don't believe that anything in life happens by chance and that every aspect of our lives points to something deeper.

You need to decide now to live for God rather than for yourself. You spend your life on Earth preparing yourself (as best you can) for death. I don't see death as a scary, negative experience, but birth into a bliss filled eternal life with God. I believe that this is something you have to consciously choose or not during your life on earth.

The meaning of life is for us to discover that we are true children of an infinitely loving and merciful God, to find out what our responsibilities are to our Creator, and to fulfill those responsibilities. Each of us is called to affirm, accept and develop the talents God has given us. -

The meaning of life is to live it. Enjoy the time that you are here & make the most of it. Ask questions, give answers, but don't get so caught up in analyzing "why" we are here that you forget to just enjoy the fact that we are here & that this is a beautiful world. Love yourself, love others, love the earth & all its creatures. That's all the meaning that you need. Whatever you believe about the afterlife, you can still live this life to its fullest. Do things that you love. Strive to be happy. Learn, laugh, explore all that there is to offer. I happen to believe in God & Heaven but in case you are an atheist, I won't delve too much into that. The bottom line is that life is a precious gift. We never know how long it's going to last or what is going to happen. Sometimes bad things happen & we don't understand & we get discouraged. But it is still a beautiful world and we are lucky to be here to experience it. We have to focus on the good things that make life worth living & just endure the painful, terrible things as an inescapable part of life. Watch the sun rise. Experience the awesome beauty of nature. Listen to music. Look into the eyes of someone you love. Appreciate how magical this existence is.

I believe it was Einstein that had a quote (I don't recall it exactly but it was something like this:) "There are two ways of looking at the world: one is as if everything is a miracle. The other is as if nothing is." The world is miraculous. If you keep your childlike sense of wonder you will see the world as a beautiful exciting adventure. If you lose that wonder you will see life as ugly, mundane & meaningless. I choose to see the miracle.

The meaning of life is different for different people. You have to live life and do things meaningful to discover the meaning of life. I feel our creator put us here to watch our growth and spirituality. He wants us to keep having children so the population will continue. Other basics are to be kind to each other. Forgive each other. Stop killing each other. Stop hurting the children. Stop starving the children. Save the Earth from destruction. Make yourself more ready for the next life, which is promised.

Yes, all kinds of stuff happens. If stuff didn't happen, we would all be followers and walk around like robots. We have freewill, logic, and intellect to get through life the best we can. Sometimes bad stuff happens to good people, as we all know. A lot of the time, man brings that on himself. And sometimes a person is better off in the long run because of the bad stuff that happens. Life comes in cycles and I feel if you get past the bad stuff, the good stuff will come around again.

Life has no meaning. this i understood aged 15/16. Look at anyone you know and try to pin down the meaning of their existence. you can't, you will fail. My lifes meaning could well be sitting on the train today eating a muffin, or buying coffee instead of tea. these are actual events that have happened. Meaning is the delusion of accumulating these tiny events together and imagining them to be of a purpose and cohesiveness. When you think of meaning, the meaning is never something you felt at the time of an events occurance, its always a reminiscence, which is more often not at all how the event was. This reminiscence is only possible with the end (death) of something/someone. You cannot realistically find clarity in meaning within something that is currently happening. Thus you cannot find meaning in life while you are alive. The whole idea of meaning anyhow is preposterous, and incredibly self-indulgent. to find meaning, and believe in that meaning, in your own life, is to fail to see how your beliefs have little to no effect on the world around you. Thus if you believe there is meaning in your thoughts/actions, this isnt apparent to anybody except yourself, and thus to everyone else in the rest of the world doesn't exist.

Does life have a purpose? Does it have real meaning? Is life anything more than a brief span on earth, with nothing but eternity on either side of this physical existence?

This is the question of the ages, a riddle that has challenged human beings since they came to be. Why am I here? Why do I exist?

Thousands of years ago, the biblical King David looked up into the night sky and wrote down his thoughts regarding man's relationship with his Creator: "When I consider Your heavens, the works of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?"

David wondered about the purpose of man just as we do today. Every one us was created for a purpose, but few understand what that great purpose is. The FREE booklet, What Is Your Destiny? will help you understand the incredibe truth about your destiny. Request your free copy today!

The meaning of life is different for everyone.
Though I think this isn't the complete answer. I think you re real question is "why are we here at all?" The best answer to that is we were created, by God, or the Great Spirit what have you.
Life is everything and nothing. Mostly it is an experience. You could go on and on. Most answers point to no answer.
The existence of the conscience and the soul prove there is meaning
for there to be meaning there has to be a greater awareness. We are self aware, we feel, think, care, we are alive. We are not simply creatures of instinct.

You're here on this earth because there is a God who created you out of love. He created the whole universe and now He wants someone to enjoy Him and His creation and that's you (and me.)

Things happen because life is a series of events, one following another. But life is not a series of meaningless events; God's there watching and waiting and guiding.

You should grab a Bible and a copy of The Purpose-Driven Life by Rick Warren. These two will help you with your questions more than me or any other human being on the planet. Hope this helps. :)

EDIT: Man, people are fast. What I really suggest you do is sit under the stars for one hour. If looking at the whole universe, knowing that we're just a speck compared to all the heavenly bodies out there, moves your heart to really find out who you are... then, read what I've written above again. :)

Just make one up that makes you feel good about yourself and sounds plausible.

It won't be anything less credible than anyone else can come up with.

You could see the whole purpose of all the sequence of events in the history of the universe as a plan to ensure that you were born into the world. Why not !

The meaning of life, which everyone with half a brain cell would know, is stringing together all those little silver ball chains that come connected to everything from sneakers to hotel keys to Vanderbilt jeans, and whoever has the most chains when they die wins and becomes God. Or maybe, it's just to eat, sleep, poop and die. I'm not sure, but when you have a definitive answer, let me know, OK?

It means - whatever it means to you.
Your reason, your dynamic, your goal, quest, or end game.

Or, depending on the tribe, sect, clan, it means whatever their particular template says it means.

Beyond that, the world of one life form hunting and eating another, the ocean eroding the land, the land building up over the ocean, the seemingly endless cycles of creation and destruction, the births and deaths are nothing more than a playing field of some kind, and the meaning of it all is to play along - so - enjoy!
