The Disney movie was based on the Chinese legend of Hua Mulan, who is the heroine who joined an all-male army described in a famous Chinese poem known as the Ballad of Mulan.
In the story, Mulan disguises herself as a man to take the place of her father in the army. After the end of her service, the Emporer offers her a government post, but she declines and goes home. When her former colleagues come to visit her, they are shocked to see her dressed as a woman. The poem ends with the image of a female hare (Mulan) and a male hare (her comrades) running side by side, and the narrator asking how anyone could tell them apart.

mulan is the story of a Chinese girl who dressed up like a male soldier so her lame father did not have to join the army against the mongols,and saved the emperor there by saving a nation.in the end she ends up with the general's son.

I love that story,
Mulan lived with her father, and he was his only daughter, he used to once be in the military i guess. there was a battle against the emperor of china and needed help, they wanted all men to report to military base for battle. Mulan's father was much too old to fight, women were not allowed to fight, so she disguised herself as a man and ran away to fight.

mulan's father is asked to join the army so she dresses up like a man so her father won't get hurt in the war in traning camp a dragon named mushu helps her because it is his duty to protect her but mulan falls inlove with an army boy and is discovered as a women in battle at the end she is left by the troops but sees danger following them she goes to the emperors castle and helps battle an army of evil soldiers she defiets them and wins the army boys love and everyones respect.

Well. If you are talking about the movie it's about a girl who's father goes to war for the chinese government. She wants to go to war but he doesn't let her. So she poses as a guy, and goes and goes through all this stuff. Rent the movie!

no one cares, all people care about is me. why we have to suffer in school learning history, science, and math is beyond me, we schould be learning about hair or the importance of nails or being to fat or to thin etc. god people are so stupid to see this...
