Do they have any mythical cretures in Vietnam?

Dragons are mythical creatures in Vietnam and most all Asian cultures. Unlike Western societies, Asian dragons are spirits or gods and not demons and serpents. A Vietnamese myth related to dragons is the legend of Lac Long Quan and Au Co - the Father and Mother of Vietnam. According to the mythical legend, Lac Long Quan was a dragon who saved Au Co. They married and she gave birth to 100 eggs, which became the Vietnamese people.

Another mythical creature in Vietnam is the turtle. There are legends of the turtles in Huan Kiem Lake and of the Golden Turtle, who's claw was the trigger of the Magic Crossbow.
