No, because they can't get embarassed or ashamed because you can't spot the person in real life. Most of us are using pictures that probably doesn't look like us one bit, so the people who are giving thumbs down doesn't care whether or not they are being nice or not.

Probably.I hardly ever give thumbs down unless a person is being really rude on purpose though.

Yeah because people would be afraid that the person who gave a bad answer would try to contact them or hack into their account or something like that.
