That varies state to state. Check with social security or a lawyer. In mine the answer is no I actually loose some due to husbands earrings.

The disability benefit is for the person who is disabled, if the spouse is capable the disability benefit will be adjusted according to the income of the couple/family. Check with the office that issues your disability, they may be able to clarify things better for you.

No. I am disabled, and I thought that when I got married, I would lose my benefits due to his income. That did not happen, but my benefits did not increase for his sake, either. SSA benefits are meant to supplement your income to account for medical and personal care costs related to your disability.

No i do not believe so ... I feel this is only for the disabled person. It may go up since they are married though but i am not sure.

No,disability benefits are just that, for those mentally or physically disabled, not spousal entitlement....

in a way yes cuz the state has to hire someone to come in every day for 6 hours to clean shop bank, so if the spouse has the time to do he or she will get paid.I know that cuz my aunt is doable and my uncle takes care of house and her needs he gets a check monthly.

No the new spouse has to get a job and help take care of the house and thats what benefits he/she gets.Its called the benefits of working.

my b/f is disabled. and if we get married, he will lose his benefits.
