I have attempted on several occasions to delete an icon from my desktop on my account. However, when I do that windows automatically deletes the same icon from every other account on the computer. How do I delete the icon and prevent this from happening?

Some programs, like "outlook" do what you are having trouble with. I have yet to find out how to fix this. But the majority of the programs should not affect the other user accounts.

once you've a separate account from all and multiple else that makes use of the computing gadget it is only a count number of deleting them. when you're using the administrator account that is yet another count number. i do not imagine you could delete the icon devoid of affecting the different money owed in case your on a admin account.

Make sure the ICON on the desktop is set to open the PROPER folder for the current Desktop User. This means that the ICON on each desktop MUST have it's own folder and be pathed to ONLY that folder.
