I need a negation (~p) to the conditional statement: 5+6=11. Thanks A bunch!

Conditional statements usually involve the form "IF _____ then ____", and 5 + 6 = 11 fails to accomplish that.

However, if the statement p is 5 + 6 = 11, the negation (in verbal terms) would be

It is not the case that 5 + 6 = 11.

Or, to simplify things,

5 + 6 != 11

(where "!=" is supposed to represent an equal sign with a slash across it).

If x + y do not equal 11 then x, y do not equal 5, 6 respectively.
