Home pregnancy tests can detect pregnancy hormone as soon as 10 days post ovulation, but I have found that it is generally more accurate about 12 days post ovulation. But if you are anything like me ( I have absolutely no patience) go to the dollar store and get a few tests, they are cheap and quite effective and then you can test without feeling guilty!! Good luck!

Having intercourse on the 12th day does not always constitute getting pregnant. You ovulate 14days after the first day of your period. So you would need to have a steady amount of sex over those days to give yourself a good chance of catching the egg. Even after doing so just be patient and wait to see if youy get your period the next month. Sperm lasts in the system for up to 3 days. However depending also on how long you have been with your partner that has some effect on it too. If you have been together with the one person for a while it may take a little bit depending on how fertile you are.

Depends on when you ovulated. Most women DO NOT ovulate on Day 14. You may ovulate much later or earlier than that.
You can usually test when you've missed your period, but that could still be inaccurate for various reasons. For example, if you ovulated later than usual for you. You might normally ovulate late in your cycle and have a short luteal phase (the time after you ovulate but before your next period).

Most pregnancy tests can only detect the pregnancy hormone up to 5 days before your missed period. Even then, it's only 60-some% correct for that early. Each day closer to your period the pregnancy test gets more and more accurate.
So, if you're anxious, wait until 5 days before your missed period and test. If it's negative, just test a few days later.
Good luck!
