Because some copyright owners want you to buy your favorite shows on DVD. Plus, they are cracking down on offensive content. YouTube was bought by google so they have to maintain a corporate-friendly appearance.This covers it all with no b.s. so how about a best answer. By the way, you can see most of your videos on YAHOO Video now as they have yet to be removed.

b/c ppl are filming themselves committing crimes, & those videos are being pulled & used as evidence to convict the guilty. Also, large companies, ie ViaCom, Charter, Turner, etc, are letigious & one successful suit against youtube by a media giant would break the up & coming youtube & put them into bankruptcy.
