Since no one can go there, how do we learn about the inside of the earth?

We learn the mysteries of the Earth from things like mining for samples, mining in general and study on materials. We know that lava coming from a volcano must come from the core of the Earth because their would be no where else for this to come from. With that, we know that if their is molton rock in the Earth's core, we can tell whats in the Earth. We can get samples from eruptions to tell has well.

We can"t go too far down so geologists can only theorize about it.
They have some good tricks with sonar and such and may come up with better things as they go along.
Going to the moon was tough but going to the center of the earth may be next to impossible.

i forgot the name of the movie, they built like a tunnel borer that went into the ocean and drilled all the way to the core. it was built in pieces and out of a very strong, best kind of metal. and built in pieces so in case a section got contaminated. so, maybe in the future we could really build something like that?...
