White Anglo-Saxon Protestant.

here is the full definition and description

WASP is a term used in the United States derived from an acronym for White Anglo-Saxon Protestant.

The term does not have a precise definition and can be used to describe greatly differing sociological groups.[1] The WASP acronym originated in reference to White Americans with an "old money" background, who are alleged to form a powerful elite.[1] Some may use the term to describe any white person who does not claim any minority affiliation, regardless of their socio-economic status or actual ancestry.[1] However, working class whites in the U.S. are not usually referred to as WASPs, even if they are Protestants of Anglo-Saxon descent. "WASP" is used in Canada in much the same way as it is used in the U.S.A.

The term white Christian male has come into use, supposedly as a result of diminished discrimination against Catholics and other non-WASP white males.[1]

Strictly speaking, many people now referred to as "WASPs" are not Anglo-Saxon, that is the descendants of some Germanic peoples, who settled in Britain between the 5th century and the Norman Conquest. According to some sources, Anglo-Saxon ancestry is not even dominant in England, which is generally regarded as the Anglo-Saxon heartland.[2] Thus, non-Anglo Saxon old money families in North America, such as the Du Pont family (who have French Huguenot origins), the Vanderbilts (Dutch) and the Astors (German), may be called WASPs.[3] The word white is redundant, since all Anglo-Saxons — whether in the strict or popular sense of the term — were or are white.

White Anglo Saxon Protestants.

White Anglo Saxon Protestant; it's an pejorative that is misused to include anyone Caucasian that appears to be indifferent or insensitive to what the "majority" of Americans go through. Some of this deals with the bitterness over some of the institutions that the Protestants either built up, or have had a reasonable amount of influence over in the past. It's a bit old school and has fallen out of favor for some time now I'll doubt you'll find anyone under 30 who sympathizes with the term or even knows what it is, very much politically incorrect if you do choose to use it...

Christians, or members of any religion---are not a monolithic group, so one person may have different traits than another person. Some people might be more forgiving than others. As far as Osama Bin Laden, your second line says it all. "Yes he was a mass murderer." The euphoria is probably over the fact that not only did we get him for what he's *already* done, but we've stopped him from continuing to incite terror and murder. It's like being euphoric and celebrating when someone shoots a dog that's viciously attacking your 7 year old daughter. It's a combination of relief and joy.
