I have been sent a self assessment form in PDF format and whenever i try to click the mouse in one of the boxes its simply a hand which changes into a fist???!!! how can i open it so i can fill in the boxes? Better still is there a way i can copy and paste it to word for editing?

hand, text and camera icons at the top of the page, change the hand object to the text object copy and paste to clipboard do pictures with camera object

Best bet is to download some software to create a word doc from the PDF. The work doc can then be edited and once finished the PDF can be re-created.

Plenty of software out there with free trials - google PDF to word.

You need Acrobat Writer to edit PDF. This is quite an expensive bit of software so I suggest, convert it to another format, edit it and if required convert it back to PDF.

You an find some converting software free from www.download.com

I'd guess that if you've been sent it as a PDF then it's intended that you print it out and fill it in with a pen. Old fashioned I know!

As far as I understood, you can't reverse the PDF process.

NO my friend u can not do any editing to pdf file ...its like "gif" or "jpg",,,, ad u can edit jpg or gif in ms paint like wise u will need to convert pdf to tiff and thne open it in ms word and edit as u r editing jpg or gif but cutting some lower or upper or middle image ..u can never edit words remember ...done

You're probably using adobe reader. To edit it you need the upgrade called adobe acrobat. I'm not sure if there are other pieces of software that also allow you to edit.
