why do they make white people look like idiots on black shows?

on white shows they dont make fun of black people. they would catch that and take the show off the air for being racist. but ive found this pattern on thats so raven, proud family, bill cosby and a few more

Because if you look at all the white shows with minorities, the minorities are the weird and/or awkward ones, with thick accents Reason one. That goes for a lot of shows with mainly white casts with a minority in recurring role. Watch any show and you'll see and hear what i'm talking about. Also, minority women always play "exotic" roles.

Of all the shows on TV on the 4 major networks, I think there's just one minority show, George Lopez. There's probably another, but I can't think of it.

Another reason is ad money. TV shows don't run very long if advertisers do not see the show making money for them. If there's no mass appeal (i.e. white majority), advertisers will not put money on that show. Chances are advertisers do not put money on minority shows, unless it's a hit (i.e. Everybody hates Chris).

In today's society making blacks and women dumb and white males smart is taboo, because it was done in the olden days in a racist manner. Mostly, an idiot character will be a white man in most TV shows and commercials. The idiot character is usually used for comical purposes, and to make the audience feel smarter which makes them happy. Later on they will attribute the television show to feeling smarter, and happier and they will watch it, thus giving the show higher ratings, and the jews more offers for commercial slots. Also the happiness involved with being tricked into feeling smart will make you more suggestable so you will pay more attention to the commercials. Basically it is taboo to make the idoit character a minority or a woman and they need an idiot character for comical purposes, so they choose the evil white man thus offending the least amount of people.

The people who made the show are obviously insecure and feel threatened by white people in some way, and as a way of venting their deep-seeded emotions, the Television producers depict white people in a harlequin-like light. Personally, I feel that it's totally juvenile and rediculous. It is also a form of racism against white people. quick answer is the same tokenism that fuels black shows. every so-called black show has to have the token white guy or girl depending on the sex of the black star. It is supposed to help with the crossover market and make the show appealing to whites. let's be honest, the blacks doing these sows do not really control the product. quite often they are bad shows that just have the attraction of the black star.
