Mostly Money I think, plus everyone makes things so complicated these days, plus most everyone is independent. I also think alot of people are in love with the wedding, and they dont have enough time to really get to know the person, to rushed.

Because too many people equate "marriage" with having a "wedding" and they can't see (or don't plan) past the momentary event of walking down the aisle and having a big party at the reception to the actuality of having to deal with each other afterwards. Lots of people get caught up in the confusion of "getting married" versus "being married", and the frenzy caused by big fancy weddings doesn't help. This is why everyone should just go to the damn courthouse and have a legal marriage performed and registered. If you decide you're going to seriously be together, don't live together forever and ever. Get your piece of paper that says that you're married and then go back home and concentrate on dealing with each other.

Getting involved too fast with someone out of another relationship, meeting someone in a fantasy world....like online...not knowing the true person before you get hooked, cheating, not getting what one needs out of the marriage, or someone you trust taking advantage of you when you're in a marriage on the rocks...telling you what you need to hear right when you really need to hear it.

I think its because we want someone to complete us and we are unwilling to complete ourselves. We look for someone to make us happy, but we carry our unhappiness with us and no other person can change that. We want to get more than we give and marriages don't work well that way.
All the cheating and money troubles and in law problems are just manifestations of the problems we have with ourselves.

The no. 1 reason is financial problems. I think most people are too selfish nowadays and think their personal happiness is more important than honor, family, loyalty, morals, etc. When you get married you have to be willing to put the happiness of others above your own.....that's REAL LOVE.

Because the dude or chick feels caged in and locked down so they feel the need to screw other people.

I think it's because we grow up believing in the 'fairy tail' lifestyle.....so when real life isn't perfect, we give up and try to look elsewhere for something that is not at all possible.
