ok so between the dates of jan 11 and jan 15 i was ovulating/fertile [i checked my mymonthlycycles account].. me and my boyfriend had sex about 10 times [without a condom and he pulled out each time - i know, not the best idea] within those days without knowing what was going on inside of me.. i was suppose to get my period on the 28th of jan and its pretty much a week late.. i took a test last wed [jan|31] and it came out negative and my boyfriend told me to take another one this morning to be sure it was right so i did.. this time it was a little weird.. the negative line was really dark and it had a slight "positive" line that was really light and only showed on the top half [it looked like an upside down capital T].. not too sure of results.. whats up?

im not here to be told im stupid.. im 19 and know what im doing.. just want a reasonable explaination to what this may mean.. thank you in advance!!!

If there was any line in the positive section, no matter how faint it means that you are pregnant. The test is to see if you have the hCG hormone present in your urine, this is only present if you are pregnant. The hormone surges once the egg has inplanted. If you take another in few days the line will be stronger. Go and see your dr who can advise you on you on your options, and pregnancy. Good luck.

i took 5 tests all together in the space of two days. EACH and EVERY time the positive line was very faint so i made an appointment with the doctor and the test was also positive. The doctor actually told me that no matter how faint a positive line is its still a pregnancy!! Altho in some very strange cases the woman taking the test has a high lvl of thr HCG hormone however this is very rare and the chances of you having it are very slim. If you have had unprotected sex and ur boyfriend pulled out this doesn't mean you can't get pregnant. The "premature ejaculation" is still sperm therefore will still leave you pregnant >>> All in all make appointment wiv ur doc and take his test to be sure... Good luck to you both!

If I were you, I'd buy a few more tests and try them out. EPT has a digital test that costs about $20 and gives a clear "pregnant" or "not pregnant." I'd buy that, and maybe one other one. If you're still getting mixed results, I'd say it's time to head to the doctor.

It's possible, because you tested somewhat early, that a low level of pregnancy hormone was present in your system that could not be detected by the first test and gave you mixed results in your second test. For best results, you should take the test first thing in the morning--your first "pee" of the day has the highest level of pregnancy hormone available.

And just to be safe, I wouldn't drink any alcohol until you know for sure. Good luck.

The directions that came with the test should explain the test results for you. They will tell you that any line, no matter how faint, in the positive area is a positive result. I have a suspician that you are hoping that someone will tell you otherwise, but I am afraid that your test result is indeed positive.

Call your ob/gyn or go to your local health department and have them perform a test for you. If you are indeed pregnant, then you really do need to take care of yourself for both your sake and for the baby's.

This is both an exciting and a scary time! Good luck with everything!

Congrats --- I think it means you are pregnant. A faint positive line always means "PREGNANT." Buy another test to be sure and use first morning urine for the most accurate results. Also, First Response is one of the sensitive brands to use and is really easy.

Also you should call your doctor and make an appointment to confirm the results and start prenatal care, which is VIP for your health and that of the baby. Also, get some good prenatal vitamins and take one every day to prevent birth defects.

Avoid all caffiene, nicotine, alcohol, and all medications (both prescription and over-the-counter) to give your baby a healthy start in life.

good luck, dear.

I think that a line, no matter how faint, means a pregnancy.
However, if this happened to me, I would get another test and take first thing in the morning when the hormones are easily measurable.

I would say that you are probably pregnant...you can always go to your family doctor to have a blood test done and make sure!! If that's not what you want to do, go ahead and take another test with your morning urine. If there is any indication (another line no matter how small or faint) you are probably pregnant!!!

k, even the faintest line in the "pregant" section could mean yes, and probably does! I suggest you take another in the morning using your first urination of the day... more concetrated HCG levels and all that... better chance of a real result... If still the same,, then take in 3 days using morning urine, if still then it is the same you need to see a doc to get a blood test done to be sure... Good luck

All I can say is take another test. That happened to me before a couple times.. one time I wasn't pregnant.. and this time I was pregnant. That's the only thing you really can do. Get another test hun!! Best wishes.
