There are very few people that believe that Bush is racist. What they would say is that he does little to advance minority causes (especially black causes). That's very different from being racist. What he is is classist--he himself, and his policies, reflect a preference for the rich over the poor, the "blue bloods" over the "Joe Six Packs" (except the religious "Joe Six Packs" of course). To the extent that minorities in this country still comprise most of the people impoverished and struggling to make a life for themselves, then his class-based prejudice spills over with race-based effects.

But I think there are very few democrats who would call Bush a racist.

One of the few things I see good about Bush. He doesn't appear to be an all out racist. He probably has some prejudice as everyone does but he handles it well. He has one of the most racially diverse administrations in history. GW. Bush may be a lyer and a cheater but he is not much of a racist if at all.

Bush is a fascist, and a lot of people, especially political ones, often hire minorities to prove they are not racist!

It is well known that Sen Strum Thurman from SC was a racist yet he fathered a child that was half-black. He admitted it so don't anyone tell me it isn't true!

Was he then not a racist?

Rice's employment has probably more to do with other services she provides!

Because Condi had to earn her way there by being a Ph.D. and expert in National Security. If Bush weren't a racist, he would have just picked some marginally qualified minority to fill the position (affirmative action appointment rather than merit based appointment).

Liberals will tell every lie they can think of in their attempts to demonize President Bush. Liberals learned from Hitler that if you tell a lie enough times some people will startbelieving it.

People can act racist towards one group in society, and some argue that he is being racist to Asian people. I think Rice is an Afro-Caribbean, so she isn't of the same race as the Iraqi people.

For one I don't know if Bush is a racist. For two, having a "yes boss" black person under you does not equate to not being racist.

They've been friends for a long time. How intimate the friendship is remains a question, but I doubt he'll ever ask for her resignation.
