Excuse me but I beg to differ.
Rex Grossman is NOT THE ONLY FACTOR WHICH GOT US THE LOSS.
did you people watch the game? did u not see the 480 yards the colts had on our defense? our stand strong defense was moved yesterday by the Indy colts.
SO NO, don't blame everything on rex.
This is his first full year!!!!!
the bears won as a team and lost as a team yesterday..
Without grossman, we might have not even gotten the chance to go to the superbowl.
Don't be quick to judge.

Yes. Rex wasn't the only thing wrong last night. The defense did not look very good either. Rex is simply not NFL calibre and it is surprising the Bears have stuck with him this long ( I feel sure they would have said adios a long time ago if they thought they had anyone better on the bench). The bad decisions mount up and are magnified in a big game. Rex has shown flashes of brillance then sometimes looks like a "stumblebum". I'm sorry but the Bears need a consistent QB (along with most the other NFL teams).

Rex will never win a superbowl, that is apparent and with that kind of performance he might be scarred for life. With no really good options in this next draft they need to look for a couple a year run. Garcia may only have one good year left and Griese would be consistent but cannot get the ball deep down the field. If you go with Griese they will need to draft someone in the 08 draft like Henne from Michigan. They need to make a trade for Matt Schaub of Atlanta. Schaub is probably to the best back up that should be a starter out there.

I cannot fault alot of his interceptions but he seemed scared and pulled out from center too early causing fumbles. He had quite a few fumbles during the season, also.

Wow lot of hate towards grossman, this is his first full year because of his injuries in the past he needs to learn to make better decision making, thats something lovie smith CAN help him with. Rex is young, he has a hell of an arm and once he gets the hang of a system for more than one year, he is capable of being a threat in the league. I feel theres a slim chance he'll stay, but he might be better off with some other team.

Rex isn't the guy. He can't be. The Super Bowl conditions were set up for the Bears - raining and slippery, perfect for their smashmouth style. But even in that perfect environment, Rex did everything possible to work against that. Two fumbles, two trips, that's just awful.

Look for the Bears to draft one or two QBs, and hang on for the QB controversy of the year coming up.

Rex is not a consistent enough player to be a starter in the National Football League. He might be a decent back up QB somewhere, but his mistakes out weigh the rewards for starting him.

I was saying that half way through the season. Brian Grease got the Broncos screwed up, but he can do good in Chicago.

I am also surprised he played the whole game, early in the 3rd quarter after he tripped and then the bad snap should have been the end.Bears were still in it then.
Later Rex!

He's basically still a rookie.

I think the biggest problem was the Bears refusing to change their failing strategies. o_O They didn't get with it til the end, and by then it was too late. They could definetely get a better QT, though.

Grossman won't be a bear after training camp next year, they will cut him.
