wingshoot - I didn't know that Bush was a Dem. Why are you silent about Bush's silence on this issue?

Supercool - Anyone who breaks into my house forfeits their right to life as far as I'm concerned. Why should aa illegal immigrant drug smuggler be given immunity to testify in an American trial?

Agree or disagree, I appreciate everyone's input on this. I don't appreciate the neo-silence/excuses for Bush while bashing Dems.

I saw the other side of that story. Originally, I wanted them pardoned too, but not now. Plain and simple, they shot an unarmed man running from them. Both agents were highly trained and they knew the procedure. They they tried to cover it up by picking up their shell casings. They deserve to do some time. I'm for closing that border down, but we can't just shoot people we don't like.

President Bush has been inundated with requests for a pardon and he has said no. The President is the one with the power to pardon, not Congress. And, as the 2nd answerer noted, they were convicted in a fair trial by a jury, according to the President. Only the President can pardon them.

Democrats want Open Borders.
Many Democrats across the country got elected by votes of illegals.
The Democrat Party is registering illegals to vote just as fast as they come across the border.
Money & Power, are all the Democrats care about.

Just because Repubs hate a certain type of person doesn't mean cops can shoot them.

They were convicted by a jury of their peers, and sentenced by a qualified judge. End of story.

why, because from what i've read about this they are guilty.

granted, they shot a drug smuggler who was running away from them. but in a civilized society like ours the police aren't allowed to use excessive force unless someone's life is in danger. a drug smuggler running away back across the border isn't cause enough for two border patrol agents to shoot him in the back then try to cover up their crime.

Good question, and to Super Cool, if you had 762 lbs of pot in your van (valued at over $1M), you mean to tell me you'd be unarmed?

Dems clearly love illegals, especially drug dealers.

Hate makes you say that. A jury found them guilty.
