Why do they not hold him accountable?
When he had 5 chances to kill Bin Laden, and took niehter of them?
And also how he refused to take action against Al Qaeda groups after we were attacked 4 times?
(-WTC, 2 U.S embassy attacks, and the U.S.S Cole)
Why does Clinton get a free pass when it was his ignorance of terror groups starting in the middle east that led led to 9/11?
Some people will follow Clinton to the grave.

to answer your question, because it would make him look bad.
however, I do agree with some of the posters that say that he was not responsible for the bulk of the blame.
our system failed us in regards to 9/11, they were unprepared for it, and frankly were operating under a false sense of security that was in place largely through ignorance and foolishness. just because we do not have a hostile nation near our borders, and because we have never had anything of that scale happen before, people assumed we were safe. the public does not want to think that attacks like this could happen here, and that under the old system, there would be almost nothing we could do to stop them.
lack of cooperation between our intelligence forces, lack of concern by our government, and hatred of us by our enemies all lead to this, no one person our group can take soul blame for why it happened other than those who carried it out.

He did attempt to get OBL and others. There were chances but they backed off for various reasons. Clinton and his crew do share some resonsibility-- not the bulk of it.

9/11 happend on Bush's watch, no Clinton's. Had Bush et. al. listed to the chatter and intel that Al Qaeda planned 9/11 style attacks, maybe they could have been prevented.

If President Clinton did kill Bin Laden, would 9/11 not have happened? Who can say?

Your arrogance in blaming President Clinton for 9/11, does not explain our Kids dying in Iraq.

Sandy Berger had orders from powerful people, who thought Clinton was involved in 9/11, to destroy secret documents.
Berger got caught stealing and destroying National Secrets to protect Clinton from the 9/11 Commission Investigation.
Looks like it worked.

First off, he did make attempts to kill OBL and he did take actions against Al Qaeda.

Secondly, do you blame Bush I for the first WTC attack? It did happen only 38 days into Clinton's presidency.

Clinton's apathy when dealing with terrorism does not make 9/11 his fault.

Al Qaeda is at fault.. nobody else.
