You are afraid of becoming gay? Okay, so, don't. Problem solved. You have your own mind. If being gay isn't something you want to do then, well, no one is going to make you. I seriously doubt there are roving bands of zealous homosexuals out there just waiting to pounce you, give your brain a good washing and cover you with rainbow emblems and Elton John glasses. Being gay or not is a personal decision. If you are this conflicted maybe there is something more to it? Or maybe not...but I doubt exercising will fix it.

Exercising is good for the brain and the body, but, I don't think it will cure you of your phobia. Find a hobby, keep busy, exercise your brain and your body whenever you can. That can help keep a mind from wandering.

Sounds like your mind is doing more than just wandering if you're this worried, though. Maybe some soul searching would help or a talk with a close friend or a counsellor?

There are certainly worse things in life than being gay but, whatever the case, you need to address it openly and honestly. Hiding in the gym probably isn't going to do anything for you.

No I think you should exercise to get in shape, and while your at it go check out the butts of members of the same sex. Ok I'm not totally joking. There's nothing really wrong or unhealthy about being a little bit attracted to the same sex, even if you decide you're still heterosexual (or not, as the case may be) you just need to relax a little, and remember that sexuality is more like a spectrum than a either/ or kind of issue. Now I know some people will totally think I'm wrong, but I feel if you know which sex you're mainly attracted to, it's better not to "experiment" on the other because it just confuses people. That's my opinion. Just know that whatever you feel is okay!

I want to share something with you. Just 2 days ago my daughter called me and told me her roommates mother shot and killed her self. So let me tell you what suicide leaves for the people you leave behind. This girl is 23 she is in college. Her mother did not say goodbye did not leave a note nothing. Suicide is the most selfish act. You have to get help your depression can be managed but you have to see a real Dr. that can get you on the correct meds. Her mom was on meds for depression but her Dr. had changed them in the last 4 months. My daughters friend is leaving to go home to bury her 47 year old mom. When someone has cancer and is going to pass the family can get closure but with a suicide all anyone you ever loved will get is you in a box and a memory of finding you dead from suicide. Do you think that in some way you are going to punish people from killing your self. What would be the motive is it I will show them. Take up a new hobby go to your local funeral home sit through about ten funerals. Take it all in the grief, the smells, and the loss. You need help that is out there but come to grips with the fact YOU ARE SICK. The person that has to change it is you. You can tell us exactly how you feel, so you are aware you need help. You want friends and family to have the last memory of you be hanging in a closet. They will be sad but then anger. You have a sickness that is controlling you get help. You need to go today. Save your self. And anyone that says I am blaming the peson that is suicidal i am not, but when you can tell people exactly what is wrong with you then you are not beyond help.

May I say something that sounds a bit weird and funny at the same time to you? Well...I'm not trying to be funny but I really want you to think about what I say....OK?
You cannot become gay without YOUR consent! Those who try to tell you you are born that way don't help the matter either. I am convinced that most people who are gay become gay because they are conditioned subconsciously to be that way. Over time they become like that. It's not like they wake up one day and suddenly they are gay or suddently choose to be gay. I'd say that at the worst you are curious but you don't sound gay to me. You aren't born that way either. So cheer up and focus on how much you like and find women attractive. If someone trys to hint or tell you that you seem gay to them ignore them because just like ******* and elbows .. everyone has an opinion. Don't let the opinions of others determine who you are:) Best wishes!

excercise is a good way to help anyone with clearing your mind. sometimes I will be confused about something and after I work out I figure out the answer, I put things in perspective and I feel better mentally, the key is to work out alone if you can, at the gym with headphones, walk at a park ,swim or go for a long bike ride, this way you can be alone with your thoughts. also psychologically exercise gives you feel good endorphins which will help your mood.

No way! If youre having thought about something....working your butt out wont make those thoughts go away. You need to work out all right, but work out your mind and find the answer youre looking inside your heart, not in a gym.

It's not a phobia you are facing......think about it. Part of you is telling you it's not right thinking and the other part of you is saying why not? . My answer to that is... IT'S A CHOICE. We are what we are today because of our choices. How do you think it will effect you years later down the track? Good luck.

Giving your body something to do will help - but thinking through the why of why you are having these thoughts is important too. Then they will really go away.

if you cant get rid of any unwanted thoughts on your own, talk to someone about it. if might be some sort of diet and exercise thing, but it could be something more serious (bi-polar disorder). my girlfriend suffered from almost the same thing (unwanted thoughts), as soon as she got help she could control her thoughts. if you want to know more from my expertise (lol) email me jbbell66@yahoo.ca
