I think my generation is completely stupid. From drugs to sex, everything is completely selfish. Also, Rap music is complete bullcrap. It is a sad excuse for "music." The only reason idiots enjoy listening to it is because they are forced to by "peer pressure."

who agrees? i know some of you havent been transformed into complete idiots, following nothing but the media...

This generation are not being raised by their parents but by the media and their friends. If some kid see's a rapper wearing grillz there going to try and cop that, if they here a celebrity having sex wit so and so there going to try and do that to, they dont lesson to their parents but to what other people say thats "in" and believe me I understand you.

I disagree with you on the rap thing. Rap is a very possitive thing it just depends on who you listen to. theirs people like talib kwali, Common, styles P,nas and so on but you never hear them on the radio, all you hear are these new rappers talken about getting money here and there when they even dont own there name. I listen to rap but im not peer pressured by it. Its just who you listen to and why you listen to it, you probably like the lyrics or just the beat, but from what im hearing on the radio these new rap cats are a bunch of crap.

I think some of this generation is. I don't do drugs, I don't have sex and if I did it would not be all about me. I like rap but not b/c of peer pressure--b/c there are some good artist--I listen to rap w/o all the sex and cussing. I like all music though so... I barely watch TV at all. Anyway I think this generation is going to get their butts kicked in the real world.

Don't blame rap music in general, blame things like MTV. Rap isn't bad in itself, it's the exploitation of women as "hos" and people drinking and whatever else. Kids end up looking up to people like Lindsey Lohan and Paris Hilton, who are pretty much awful role models, leave alone complete skanks, haha.

All generations were stupid in one way or another. A lot of the kids now are selfish, but they haven't had to deal with any real problems yet. Part of it's just a stage, and once they have to move out and afford school, rent, car insurance and other things, they probably won't run out to Hollister to buy themselves a new shirt, you know? It'll be a harsh lesson, but some will learn, some will overdose on drugs and die, some will die from alcohol poisoning, etc..

Fact is: a lot of kids are just stupid. That's what being a kid is about. The newer generations are just taking it to a higher level of stupidity, with no regard to other people. Way self-indulgent. I don't know, I guess for being 17 myself, it's weird to see a kid in 7th grade saying fxck this and fxck that. I could go on forever, but I won't.

I disagree with the rap comment..look at the lyrics of ANY mainstream song: it promotes pretty much the same things, and thats in EVERY genre.

And okay, it bothers me when people generalize like that. It is not JUST your genereation..learn some history..I suggest you do some research before you make such comments. Or, surround yourself with a better crowd, because even within your generation, there are some very bright lights. Not everyone's doing the same things.

Your generation doesn't have any discipline. As for the rap music they're stealing beats from tunes in the 80s and its all about the same thing: money, cars, and whoes. I'm glad someone of your generation has their head in the right place. Good Luck.
