Don't drink or do drugs and get behind the wheel (no caffeine - it makes you jittery). Reamain calm and confident. Know the rules of the road and follow them.

The best advice I can give is avoid doing what I did when I failed my 1st test. If you do something wrong and you realise straight away - say so! In my test the examiner told me to turn left at a roundabout - the roundabout was hidden around a corner. I started indicating left, not realising there was a turning left before the roundabout! A car was in this turning and went to pull out - I just missed it! Now, if I had said "oops, made a mistake, I must now turn left at this junction and not the roundabout", all would have been fine. Apart from that, stay calm, ask questions if needed, and make sure you stay within 2 miles an hour of going over the speed limit! Good luck!

Now try to concentrate on what you are going to do on the test, and calmly tell your self that you are not going to fail the test you are going to pass it, you didnot say whether it was written test or on the road test, anyway if it is on the road it is only a few things you will be ask to do, like broken U turn, parallel parking, and maybe one more thing, make sure you use your appropriate signals, look up and down see if you are in the clear to go, stop at the stop sign , and just use your common sense because the examiner will be watching you but dont get nervous, stay as calm as possible and concentrate. a very good luck to you.

The road test is easy if you've had practice, just don't do anything blatantly illegal (like run a stop sign). The manueverability is where most people have problems, and what I'd suggest is nearly braking all the way while backing up (as long as you don't stop, you don't get points taken off for going slow), watch your mirrors, and stay calm. Overall- don't be too worried, if you don't pass you can always take it again, and being stressed will only affect you negatively. Oh, and good luck!

Remember the person sitting next to you is just that a person! Remember the rules of the road and make a complete stop at all stop signs. Watch your speed and make sure your only driving as fast as the signs say. You will be fine. This will not be the hardest thing you will ever do! Good Luck! Buckle up!

Your driving instructor is not some scary person. He/She was once in your seat, too. You've practiced enough & the adult that would go with you told you were doing a good job? Most driving instructors know that some young adults will be nervous & they are good at making you feel at ease. Go out for another drive before your test & read your book. :)

I drank two Red Bulls and marked up my edginess to too much energy drink consumption. Also, I took the driver's test and passed on the first try ----> at age 31 of course. I know you can do it, just listen, relax and enjoy the ride. The road is ready for you!!!
