my friend is dealing with a death in her family. it hurts me to see her cry. i don't know what to do. i want her to know that i am always here for her but i can't cuase she now she lives in a different state. I feel helpless, like there is nothing that I could possibly do to make her feel better and it makes me want to cry. She is my best friend and i want her to know that i am always here for her, i just don't know how to make her see that.

just tell her that even though you cant be ther physically you can always be there if she needs to talk and you will always be there to help i had the same thing its suck i know but it will get better

You should send her a little present with a little note saying something like what you just said. Say that even though your apart, you'll still always be there for her if she ever needs to talk.

its always a hard situation, and i think you just have to be there to listen to her. sometimes there is so much stress within a family, that what she really needs is an outsider (you) to relieve the tension. get her mind off of the death...really what else can you do? good luck!!

ring her and tell her exactly that,even tho your apart you can still be her shoulder to cry on
