I would recommend the Edmonds to Kingston route. It will get you closest to Hwy. 101 without having to take two ferries.

If you go the Port Townsend route, you would first have to take the Mukilteo ferry to Clinton first, then take the Keystone ferry to Port Townsend.

Hope that helps!

There is a few routes you could take
1. Take the Seattle ferry and go to Bainbridge Island and then from there its a hour and 45mins drive (shortest distance).
2. Drive to Edmonds and take the ferry to Kingston and then its about a hour and 25mins drive (Shortest time).
3. I would recommend driving down I-5 to HWY 101 and take the drive past hood canal and skip the ferry its a beautiful drive and its not much more time to drive as it is to take a ferry.

You can't take a ferry from Seattle to Port Angeles ... but you could take one to either Bremerton or Bainbridge, then drive north to a town that has a 'ferry connection' to Port Angeles ...
