Champ Bailey?

He can read , react and tackle. He is a shutdown corner. Hes quick,hes got strength that the CB position lacks these days and yes ronnie lott was great but when it comes to any stat or ability from the ones i already mentioned,champ is on top of the list. Denver will win the super Bowl in 2008 and bailey will be a main reason- to mention others(Cutler, Walker, Smith, Wilson, bell and Lynch) Take My Word.

Champ Bailey is the best currently. especially in a time where Defensive Backs gets called for the slightest penalites and DBs have to play more conservatively.

i still would say Ronnie Lott is the best ever. as a Defensive Back Ronnie Lott is the greatest. as a corner i say Bailey is better
(remember Ronnie Lott played Cornerback, Strong Safety, and Free Safety)

but those 2 are pretty much the only ones up there, and in their own class

as Andy T. stated below me, he is right however that Lott made more of an Impact as a Safety. and when you think of Lott you think of a Safety and Bailey as a Corner.

i guess Bailey will be considered a great CB in the future, most likely, probably #1, but at least in the top 5

Champ Bailey will go down as one of the best corners ever IMO. And personally I think Lott made more of an impact at S than CB. (I think of Sanders, Lane, Green, Blount, Woodson, when I think of great CB -- I think of Lott when I think of great safties)

guy below me --I said Woodson right after Blount (thank you though) (I implied Rod if that wasn't clear, I'm not that hot about Charles) ....Donnie Shell's another name I forgot, but he's not QUITE up with those guys. Ty Law's good too...but for some reason I'm not as hung up on him as some people are

ok all these people dissing champ bailey u gotta keep it quiet espically those chargers fans cause at least champ can help them beat the patriots unlike the choking chargers. hands down champ is the best coverage corner in the NFL

Hands down, he is THE best defensive player alive now, and possibly ever. QB's don't even like looking at his side of the field. you can't beat the Champ. Big Ben thought so, he got picked off two or three times.
