Put ice on it to freeze the gum, then pick it off or scrape it off gently with a sharp knife.

you can use an ice cube to make the gum cold and once cold you can pick the pieces off much better. I have also heard of using nail polish remover but I guess test a spot of the fabic where you cant see it first just in case it takes the colour out or melts the fabric (if not wool I think some fabrics dont take to kindly to nail polish remover - non acetone nail polish remover is probably less harsh) or perhaps a commercial cleaner from grocery store like a goo remover or chewing gum remover - they do have sprays for chewing gum. I hope this helps.

Move the meat in the freezer 'cause you're gonna need some room. Take that sweater of yours and throw it in a plastic trash bag or an equivalent plastic bag and then put it in the freezer for a couple of hours. When you pull the sweater out of the bag the chewing gum will be frozen and easily removed.

The best way to rove a chewing gum is by placing the sweater in a paper shredder.

Peanut butter then wash by hand in a grease cutting soap like Dawn so it doesn't cause a stain . Be careful if you use ice , that you don't damage your sweater trying to scrape off the frozen gum it could be deep down in the fibers .
Good luck

"Warm vinegar in the microwave them pour on the gum. Wait a minute or two then gently scrape the gum off with a butter knife. Repeat. The key here is that the vinegar must be warm to hot"
I have also heard about using ice. The funny thing about this tip is they dont offer a solution on how to get rid of the vinegar smell after you have gotten rid of the gum.

Put an ice cube on the gum. This will cause the gum to freeze then you should be able to take it off.
