Ok, I am 16 weeks pregnant, and feel great all of the sudden! I know i shouldnt be complaining, but it makes me nervous. Am I basically past all the high risk of miscarriage stage at this point? Also, did anyone else feel so good into their pregnancy that at times they forgot theyre pregnant? My last ultrasound and appt. was at 12 & half weeks and everything was fine, baby was moving like crazy, good heart beat (157-first heatbeat at 9 weeks was 160) so why am I so nervous that I will be losing this baby, and why dont i feel very pregnant?!! Help!!!

Some women feel really happy when they are pregnant. That was not the case with me.

It's normal for us to worry about almost anything when things are going their smoothest. It's the fear of getting too comfortable and then having something bad happen to bring us back to reality. However, at this stage your highly unlikely ta miscarriage. The second trimester is the most energy filled phase. The morning sickness has come to an end, for most. The third trimester is a stage where the big round belly becomes a burden and the emotions are intense from wanting to meet our babies we've been caring for during the nine months. So remember to enjoy this and keep an open mind about your pregnancy. Keep doing research about what foods are good/bad for you and baby. Stay active. Keep taking your prenatal vitamin and make sure to see your doctor/midwife as usual. Everything should be fine. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

It is perfectly normal for you to be feeling great now. Yes you are past the point of high risk for miscarriage, once you enter the second trimester at 14 weeks your chance drops dramatically (actual stats I can't remember) Within the next 4 weeks sometime (some babies take longer) you should start to feel the baby move, like little flutters, most women do miss the first movements just because they don't know what to expect and don't realize it is the baby. If you haven't already you will start to also notice a little pooch beginning to form, and might need to jump up a size.

Just relax you are doing great and it is fine to feel great at this point, some women do feel great during their second trimesters.

Many women start to feel great once they enter their second trimester, and because you are at the beginning of it you might not 'feel pregnant'. Just wait until you can feel the baby move, your belly pops out... you have plenty of time to feel pregnant trust me.

Enjoy this stage of your pregnancy, sounds like your baby is beautiful and healthy!!! This is a perfect time to plan a vacation with your partner or take some extra time to do something special for yourself.

Try to relax and think positive. If you stress your baby will feel it. Listen to some classical music and play it so that the baby will hear it too.
As long as you can feel him moving around in there, there's nothing to worry about. If he's not moving as much he's most likely snoozing.

Talk to your friends that were or are pregnant. Your mother, aunt, sister, anyone who can reasure you on a daily basis or as often as you feel like. Once someone has a baby they can never talk too much about it, trust me! :-)

The key here is to relax, eat healthy, lots of water and moderate exercise. Enjoy feeling good being pregnant. Some ppl have to be hospitalized. I had a great pregnancy. I worried, I reassured myself and I ate m&ms once in a while to feel my baby kick... hehe
Congrads and good luck!

I never feel pregnant until my baby starts moving around all of the time. Otherwise i would forget also. It is a normal fear for everyone that they are gonig to loose their baby or miscarry. But once your baby starts moving daily you will be happy and you will know everything is alright with you and your baby. Your heartbeats sound great and you seem to be great. Just relax and enjoy right now until you get to feel those kicks and punches... goodluck

The second trimester is almost always the best. You're not huge yet, but your body's finally gotten used to the new pregnancy hormones. A lot of women have that special "glow" during this time. Enjoy it! You're fine!
