I think my dad is having an affair. I've always been a little suspicious, but yesterday, I found a pack of condoms in his sock drawer by accident. He can't have sex with my mom because she's been physically handicapped for almost 10 years. I checked the expiration date on the condoms, and it said 2010, which means it's a relatively new box. I can't be sure of anything, but this seems to point out the obvious. I couldn't bear to tell my mother, and I'm scared to confront my father about it. I have two older sisters that might know how to handle it more efficiently, but I'm nervous that they'd blow it out of proportion, or that they won't believe me. Help! I really need some advice right now!

Talk to your sisters about this first. And whatever you do, don't confront your father about this in front of your mother. Due to her condition, she may have given him permission to have sex outside their marriage.

Ok, I think I believe you, and know where you're coming from.
But first of all, is it even a little bitty possible that he's decided he wants another child, for some reason, and that the lady is a surragate he's hired?
On the ohter hand, you want to have evdence of the affair, for your sistes, which is understandable to a point. If you could some how, set up a video camera in your dad's room, or whereever the affair is taking place, so that it's both hidden and always going, wen the affair is going on, that would give you the proof that you need. It could be a regular video camera or a small hidden one of some kind, that connects to vcr or computer. You can get the small ones at a spy supply store in San Francisco, or where ever else they are. You can also order them by mail. You could go onlie to ask for a catalog.

Your dad sounds just as confused as the rest of you. He hasn`t gone and left so don`t just presume the marriage is going to end. You`d be surprised at the batterings some marriages can take and stay intact. I think as others have suggested, you should leave this to your parenst to sort out, and you stay as calm as possible ok ?Don`t worry about the money side of things so much-not yet - you don`t know what`s going to happen. A lot of families go thru this and they survive - so will yours. Take each day as it comes, concentrate on your exams, and do well. That is what both your parents would want you to do. This idea of selling stuff online-forget it. Your family is not dependant on you financially and never will be. If your dad leaves, or your mum leaves him, he will have to help out financially. It`s good you can talk to your mum, the fact she seems only slightly irritated is good too. You read the messages in his phone and that can`t be easy to deal with. Try and put it out of your mind-it`s just words-they mean nothing. Whatever happens your mum is lucky to have you, and you will all come thru this - you`ll see.

Your mom and your dad may have an understanding that since she can't have sex anymore, he is allowed to have sex with another woman. Married couples sometimes do things like this. I would gather more evidence before saying anything. You may just end up making an embarassed fool out of yourself.

Your dad has his needs. You have no right digging around in his drawers. How would yuo feel if he dug around in your dresser drawers? IN some marriages like this one maybe your mom and him talked about his needs and they are open about him getting satified elsewhere.
You may want to just talk with him, no use getting the house in an uproar without knowing teh whole truth.

yeah we all have our little sexual desires and men have to have it the most.lol. Maybe they are right. Soemtimes sneaking isnt the best thing to do because youll find out something that will stay with you until you find the answer. But you shouldnt tell no one! especially your dad and yo sister! ESPECIALLY! Dont tell yo momma! Shes already in enough pain!lol. He and your mom probably talked about his needs and that he cant get it from her so she probably told him that he can have sex with otha people (or something like that). I know thats probably hard gettin out of yo mind everytime you see yo dad.

I'm sorry, maybe your parents have an understanding of some sort. Some people do...I just thought given their situation....NEVER mind I am not thinking straight. They are married and it is wrong either way. Maybe you should talk to your father openly and honestly. You may feel better. GOOD LUCK

anyway You can't allow your father to hurt your mother, tell your sisters without making it public while you take a decision, it is a very hard decision girl, or consult professional advisory.
