You can fly anywhere before 26 weeks after that most airlines require a fit to fly letter which your Doctor will usually give you unless you have had any problems (bleeding, premature labour for instance). This letter will need to have been signed as close to the date of travel as possible and certainly no later than ten days. Most airlines will then accept you up to 36 weeks, however they as always have the final say. What you have to consider that even if you are fit to fly if you are in a foreign country and something goes wrong (a bleed for instance) you may not be able to get back on the plane. Good luck

I believe that after seven months of pregnancy. However, it could really all depend on the airlines.

If you are planning on flying, talk to the airlines about their own restrictions. You also have to consider how long you will be away for and how many weeks or months you are into your pregnancy by the time you fly back.

Call the airlines and ask then when you book your flight.

It depends on the individual airline. Most will let you fly up to the end of your 32nd week. Some will let you fly later, however. British Airways will let you fly up to the end of your 36th week!
You will need a doctors/ midwife letter saying you are fit to fly from your 28th week onwards with all airlines.
You should also bear in mind that many travel insurance policies will only cover you up to a certain point of your pregnancy. I have a policy with the AA that insures me up to the end of my 32nd week, but other companies might stop insuring you much earlier - like 26 weeks.
Wear some flight socks if you do fly - they will stop your ankles from swelling up!

Most airlines only let you fly up to week 28. I´m flying back to South Africa on the 23rd of this month and coming back on the 1st of March and then I will be 27 weeks and a couple of days. I need to take a letter from my gynie with that says I´m fine to fly... And is South Africa I have another gynie appointment before I fly back and need another letter to confirm my due date and in what week I am.......

Good luck !!!

At present you can fly until your 30weeks with most airlines. Some will accept you till 32 weeks, but others wont allow you to travel after 28 weeks. Also, all travel is subject to adequate insurance to cover all eventualities.

i know for certain that if you are far enough along that you are showing in order to board an international flight you have to have a doctors clearance so that would be up to your OB....most domestic airlines ask for something showing your due date and most will let you fly up to 36 weeks, some restrict it to 32 though so call ahead and ask

Most airlines restrict travel after 36th weeks, however, you should consider carefully where you are going once you enter your third trimester. If you are already in your third trimester make sure you know where the nearest hospital is located and consider taking along your maternity records, just 'in case' you went into labor early!

usually airlines won't let you fly when you hit your third trimester... so before you book your ticket i would call and ask prior. Alot of the airlines have different rules and some even require you to have a docs note saying it is safe for you to fly goodluck

many times, docs will recommend against flying on your final trimester, or once you're nearing your due date only in case exertions starts and you're someplace else. the 1st and 2d trimesters are superb, in case you sense as much because it, till of course if there are issues on your being pregnant requiring you to do mattress rests or to take it difficulty-free, or of your medical expert advises you to not commute at any time throughout the time of your being pregnant, then you shouldn't. Ask your medical expert, he's familiar with your situation extra sensible than any human beings right here do.
