pull his shorts down during a game

Well, I suppose you can tell him you can see all his junk and that might scare him to do so. Or you can just tell the coach to make him wear it while they play. Depants during a game would be a good idea but a tough one. You can also use it the other way to freak out the opposition and tell him that kid doesn't wear underwear.

You could try telling him/her that you can obviously notice that he/she is not wearing any underwear because you can see and/or smell as much. You might mention that the smell/sight of it is very distracting to you as an individual and as a team member, and that others have noticed also.

Otherwise, I would band together with others on your team who share the same opinion and then I would go to the coach or team captain and let them serve as a mediator.

I would talk to the coach...most people think that you are just "telling" on that person, but come on, have some common courtesy!! Most likely the coach will hold a meeting and explain to "everyone" how important it is to wear undergarments during games. good luck!!

Do you have to wear their pants the next half? If not, leave it be.
