I just moved to San Francisco and the area I live in (Villas PArk Merced a townhouse community) has two hour parking everywhere! Since I am not on the lease I canot get a permit from the city. My question is: There is always tons of parking spots, and I dont mind moving my car every couple hours but is it legal to just move it one space over or even a couple spots??? Will the metermaids allow this... HELP! Thanks

Sorry I used metermaid, but they are not actually meters in which you put coins in... Just signs that say two hour parking!!

Yes, this is perfectly legal....As long as it is not in the same spot for more than the designated time...

If caught, you can get fined for removing the tire mark. If your tire has been marked and you decide to move your car to another space, make sure the mark is not visible before you leave your car.

I don't know where your unit is in the complex but would it be possible for you to park in the residential area (where the single family homes are) on the north side of the Stonestown shopping center (YMCA & church over there)?

Oh, check that the neighborhood over there is not also restricted to residential parking only for cars with city-issued permit stickers. Also there are street sweeping days.

Neighbors complained and the city imposed the two hr. limit years ago to discourage commuting students from SF State parking in their neighborhoods. I know that many students park over on Lake Merced, maybe that's a possibility. I'm sorry that it's so hard for residents, too.

It won't do you any stable. They understand who the landlord of the vehicle became into on the time the tickets have been issued. it somewhat is the guy they're finding for. enable it bypass long adequate and there's a warrant issued on your arrest. while you're stopped for any reason and your license run, that warrant will take place.

I live in SF , instead of staring the car up you can just take a moist sponge and wipe off the chalk.
